It was GREAT seeing everyone at the reunion. I have had such a blessed life! After High school and college , six worthless marriage proposals, and several years of finding myself, I married my prince , a son of a lawman in Hill County , he had country charm and very interesting history and family code of  honor for my future children. He came with two sons whom I raised along with our two, Bonnie and Wesley. Wes  is with the Arlington police department with goals of being a paramedic with the fire dept. Bonnie is the mother of my only grandchild, Payton. Payton is somewhat unusual, as he was born understanding English. Very weird when you experience a baby who knows what you are sayaing at one week of age. by 11 months he told his first knock-knock joke, and we still don't know if he heard it somewhere or made it up himself. Life is good but unpredictable. At the present Payton is running about 95% correct on his future events predictiions, which come usually two or three times a month. HE tells what is going to happen and I can't even remember what already happened!  Payton watches CNN and then wants to disscuss what he saw. He is all of 2 1/2 years old now !! His Mommie also is a wedding planner and photographer  who has been published in several magazines. .My godly children are what I have accomplishedin the last 45 years I  give the credit to the Lord. They dont mind me, but They and Larry are my best friends.

Mark Brown and I have been married for 45 1/2 years, now!
We have 4 sons, including our twins and one daughter that can still whip her big brothers!
We have 14 grandchildren ages, 18-1 year.
We live right on the lake in Granbury...I love to come in and go fishing!  The kids and grandkids love to fish, boat and get towed all around the lake.  We have lots of fun, although the neighbors probably get tired of all the noise and laughter!
I hope to finally retire at the end of the 2010 school year, although, I could have retired years ago.  I had to edit this...I am still working and now have become active with Texas Association of Child Nutrition...oh, well, what's another year or two?
Can't wait to see everyone at our reunion.  
I have really enjoyed seeing lots of the Bell Chicks at Dixie's house during our Christmas get-together.  Thanks to Dixie and Judy for doing that.

I have added another grand daughter, Reilyn Grace.  She is about 6 weeks old now.  Mark and I are still married.  I have really enjoyed seeing all my classmates at the past reunion and of course, at Dixie's house.

After graduation from LD Bell I attended Howard Payne College for a semester then William Jewell College for a second semester.  During that second semester I enlisted in the USNavy and served for four active and two reserve.  During my first two years I met and married my lovely wife Patti at a home family Bible study in El Cajon, CA.  We married in July 1969 and have three children.   After active duty in the USN I did another semester of college and then studied to obtain my FAA Airframe & Powerplant certiicates and worked for a Cessna dealership for six years before we joined Wycliffe Bible Translators (WBT) (www.wycliffe.org) in 1976.  We served in Ecuador for 3-1/2 years and later in Maluku, Indonesia for 10 years and now are on staff in NC where I work in aviation maintenance with JAARS (www.jaars.org) which is a part of WBT.  Patti is a school teacher who is now our JAARS Educational Coordinator.  Our three children are all married and we have four beautiful granddaughters.  We are hoping to be able to make it to the September reunion.

Married to Mary Alice Johnson for 35 years as of Feb 2nd.   Worked for Verizion (GTE) for 36 years, and retired March 21,2008.  I was drafted into the Army Jan.18,1968 and served in Germany until Dec. 15, 1969.
Moved to Hurst in Feb. 1955, started school at South Hurst elementary, had Mrs. McGinnes for 2nd grade. 
Looking forward to seeing everyone again in Sept.

It has been so sad to see so many of our classmates pass on during the years and it seems like we have lost several just this last year.

Married to Deryle Matthews for 43 years! We had 4 children now we have 8 - Darren and Jill Matthews, Rhesa and Ron Gentry, Dana and Mark Devenney, Kristi Lucna and Andrej Lucny. We are very fortunate to have 6 grand children Cobe and Dylan Matthews - 8 and 6 years, Fallyn Gentry 7 years, Hayden Devenney 2 years, Jakub Ray 3 years and Teodor Michal Lucny 9 months old. Deryle and I have both worked for The Boeing Company in Everett, WA for over 29 years. Both of us have interesting jobs we really enjoy and with the sky full of tomorrows we have decided we will work until we do not enjoy it. We both have the ability to telecommute for work but we both have leadership positions so for some reason they think we should attend physically. Life is never dull. Our son Darren and his family live within 16 miles, our oldest daughter Rhesa and her family live 17 miles away; the twins and their families live further away. Dana did live on St Simons Island, Georgia but recently has relocated to Atlanta temporarily until the move to Hunt Valley, Maryland planned for June and Kristi lives in Bratislava, Slovakia. Thankfully with modern technology we web cam often with all of our kids so we "see" them often. All the Kids and Grandkids were here for Christmas 2009 - PRICELESS!  

We had a great time at the reunion, seeing all of you that were able to attend, and the special lunches and dinners we shared while we were in Hurst.  Since the reunion Deryle has had his 3rd knee surgery in 22 months, walks without the cane, is excited about getting back in shape now with 2 good knees and works daily on increasing his strength, has returned to work and is walking all over the factory. The human race is becoming BIONIC!  Wow did i say BIONIC, Deryle developed Atrial fibrillation in January, April 2 he had a heart reboot and today he feels much better.
